What a week!
Wow... Who would have guessed!?
The Republicans lost control of the majority of Stater Governorships, the House and, most likely, the Senate... Rummy quit.. and now Microsot claims MS Windows Vista is ready! For those of us who relish opportunities to watch people scurry about like ants at a picnic, this has been a banner week!
First politics... If Clinton could be impeached for lying to Congress over a blowlob, Bush is certainly impeachable for lying to the American people to draw them into an unnecessary war, balooning the National Debt (never mind budget deficits), sending almost 3000 American troops to their deaths, bulldozing the Constitution, privacy and civil liberties... I mean... the man is, as far as I can tell, a war criminal... at least as much as Saddam Hussein, and he's gonna be hanged. Will the Dems grow a pair and hang this schmuck out to dry?.... PLEASE?!
Then, Rummy... 'bout freakin' time!! Isn't there something we can charge him with before he becomes a K St. "consultant"? I mean, the man needs to be jailed. Soon. Isn't there a hooker in a car trunk somewhere with his fingerprints pressed into her throat? I mean they found blood in Hans Reiser's car... can't they pin anything on this megalomaniac?
And the Dems have been campaigning on "change"... "Time for a change!" "We're gonna make some changes!" and so on. That IS empty rhetoric... Lest we forget Hitler, Mousellini, Chairman Mao and Stalin brought change. Change for its own sake is not necessarily good. Dems took advantage of the fact that most people in this country are so tired of the way things have been that they've started thinking "Anything's gotta be better than THIS!"... Not so much. England still has us outdone on invasion of privacy. Most of Africa is impoverished. Most of India and China are impoverished. Basically, half the world's population has no hope. Things could certainly get worse... but there's no need for that.
And the cherry on top? Jim Allchin announced Vista is "done". This should be good. I'm just glad I get to watch from the outside.
This is going to be good! I'm gonna go make popcorn.
